MILWAUKEE, Wisc. - The #20 Coe College Volleyball team closed out its regular season on Saturday afternoon, earning a pair of sweeps over non-conference opponents Wisconsin Lutheran and Elmhurst on the second day of the Warrior Invitational. The wins, which give the Kohawks their first 25-win season since 2014, featured a pair of dominant performances as Coe claimed a 25-19, 25-21 and 25-8 win over Wisconsin Lutheran and a 25-20, 25-13 and 25-19 decision against Elmhurst. A balanced attack led the offense in both matches with five players adding numerous kills in each match.
Madi Parson had a team-high seven kills in the opener while
Rachael Kilpatrick paced the team with eight against the Blue Jays. Coe improves to 25-5 overall while Wisconsin Lutheran and Elmhurst move to 11-11 and 7-19 respectively.

- Coe jumped ahead immediately in its first match of the day, taking an early 7-3 lead against the hosts. WLC fought back and pulled within one point of Coe's lead at 12-11 but the Kohawks quickly answered to restore a three-point advantage. The Warriors continued to claw back in the period, using a three-point run to knot the score at 17. Coe ended the opening set with a dominant run, scoring eight of the final 10 points of the set to go ahead 1-0.
- The Warriors responded early in the second set, taking a quick 6-2 lead after a five-point run. Coe began its clawback during the next few rallies, closing within one of the lead thanks to a 5-2 spurt. The Kohawks took control over the next handful of points with another big run, outscoring WLC 14-7 en route to a 22-15 advantage. Coe closed the set out for a 2-0 lead, fending off a late rally attempt from the hosts.
- Coe kept its foot on the gas in the final frame, opening up a 13-3 lead in the third. The Kohawks scored nine-straight points to grab the big lead, getting an impressive serving string from Ella Koloc, who added one service ace. Coe continued to dominate the third frame, holding Wisconsin Lutheran to -.154 attack percentage while claiming a 25-8 victory.

- It was another solid start for Coe in the second match, taking a 7-3 lead thanks to a three-point stretch. The lead was extended after the teams traded points with Coe scoring four straight in order to take a 12-5 advantage. Elmhurst clawed its way back into the set, pulling within three points but Coe answered with a 6-1 spurt to put the frame out of reach.
- Coe dominated the first few moments of the second set, taking an early 9-1 lead thanks to another strong serving run from Koloc. The Kohawks then cruised to a 2-0 lead in the match, hitting .270 as a team while holding the Blue Jays to just .081 and eight kills.
- Elmhurst battled in the third and final period, erasing an early deficit to grab a 14-11 lead. The Bluejays scored six-straight to secure the lead but the Kohawks answered with a seven-point stretch later in the match. Coe then completed its second sweep of the day with three of the final four points, getting a pair of kills from Kilpatrick along the way.
Up next: The Kohawks will open postseason play later this week, hosting the A-R-C Tournament semifinal on Thursday, November 3 at Kohawk Arena. Coe, the top seed in the tournament, will host the winner of the #4 and #5 game between UD and Nebraska Wesleyan.
