WHITEWATER, Wisc. - The (RV) Coe College volleyball team suffered a defeat to #15 UW-Whitewater on Friday evening to open the Warhawk Invitational, falling 3-0 at Kris Russell Arena. The Kohawks fell behind quickly in the match, with the hosts claiming a 25-18 victory in the first set. Coe battled back and forced extra points in set two, but the 15th-ranked Warhawks hung tough and squeaked out the victory. UWW clinched the victory in the third and final frame, cruising to a 25-18 win over the Kohawks. With the loss, Coe drops to 7-3 overall while Whitewater improves to 9-2 on the year.

- The hosts grabbed a lead in the match, claiming the opening set 25-18. The Warhawks posted a .263 attacking percentage in the first, recording 14 kills to just four errors. Coe struggled on the offensive end, registering just nine kills and seven errors.
- The second set was more competitive but the Warhawks edged Coe 28-26 for a 2-0 lead in the match. The hosts raced out to an early 14-4 advantage but the Kohawks stormed back with 11 unanswered points to take a 15-14 lead. The teams went back and forth for the remanded of the period but UWW took a 2-0 lead in the match after scoring three straight to end the third.
- The Warhawks again took the lead in the third set, scoring four of the first five points to establish momentum. Coe fought back, clawing within three at 13-10 but the hosts stayed hot and cruised to the 3-0 victory. Whitewater claimed a 25-18 victory in the final set of the match, attacking at a rate of .294.
