CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The no. 21 Coe College softball team earned an at-large bid to the NCAA DIII Softball Championships earlier this week, being selected as a participant in the UW-Whitewater Regional for the opening round of games. The Kohawks, who claimed the regular-season American Rivers Conference title with a 13-3 record, will take on no. 17 Transylvania in their opening round game on Thursday, May 18 at 1 PM. The regional also includes the hosts, UW-Whitewater who will take on the fourth and final team at the regional, Spalding University. Coe earned the two seed in the regional and will open regional play on Thursday, May 18th at 1 PM against Transylvania out of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. The winner will advance to take on the winner of No. 1 seed UW-Whitewater and No. 4 seed Spalding which is scheduled for 3:30 on Thursday.
