CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College women's volleyball team suffered a defeat to the University of Wisconsin Platteville on Tuesday evening, falling 3-0 to the no. 20 Pioneers in the Kohawks' final home match of the regular season. UW-Platteville raced out to a 1-0 lead, dominating the opening period for a 25-11 decision. The Kohawks fought back in the second set, erasing an early seven-point deficit to hold a late lead in the frame. Platteville responded and ended the set with three straight points, pulling out a 26-24 victory to go up 2-0. The visitors completed the sweep in the final period, winning 25-16 as the Pioneers scored seven unanswered points to finish the match.

GAME FACTS
- Platteville was on fire in the opening set, hitting .469 with 16 kills and only one attacking error. Coe's offense came to life in the second set, getting 15 kills en route to the back-and-forth period. Platteville hung tough despite Coe's charge, scoring four points in a row and a six-point stretch for the Kohawks. The visitors finished off the match in the third period, taking advantage of some sloppy attacking play from Coe. The Pioneers limited Coe to just six kills and eight errors in the frame, winning 25-16 to complete the sweep.
