CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Coe College football players Trenton Barnes and Alex Aitchison were named all-region by D3football.com on Wednesday afternoon. The Kohawk duo led their respective units, with Barnes anchoring the offensive attack and Aitchison controlling the defensive line of scrimmage. Barnes, previously named second-team all-American by the AFCA, was named to the first-team offense for his first all-region honor. Aitchison is earning his second-career all-region selection, picking up a spot on the first-team defense after a strong year on the defensive line. The pair led Coe to a 9-2 season and its second NCAA Playoff appearance, falling to Bethel University which is set to play in the quarterfinal round.
