CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Coe College fifth-year football player Alex Aitchison was named second-team all-America by the Associated Press on Thursday. The Cascade native becomes the second Kohawk football player to earn all-American status this season, joining Trenton Barnes who earned AFCA second-team honors. Aitchison was a dominant force on the defensive line despite often seeing double-team blocks, totaling 15.5 tackles for loss and eight sacks. He broke the career record for tackles for loss during the campaign and totaled 80 yards on his tackles for loss in 2024. Aitchison is a four-time first-team all-conference player, earning his second all-American honor as he was named a CSC Academic All-American in 2022.
