DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Coe College men's golf team posted a spring-season low team score of 305 on the second day of the Duhawk Invitational en route to a fifth-place finish at the 36-hole tournament. Coe finished just four shots back of the hosts, Loras and just nine shots back of third-place Wartburg.
Lucas Geiger carded a pair of sub-80 rounds to lead the Kohawks, firing rounds of 79 and 74 to finish in a tie for 12th.
Matt Lawton also posted two rounds in the 70s, finishing in a tie for 15th after rounds of 79 and 75.
C. Reece Breitenbach bounced back from a tough opening round of 83 and shaved 10 strokes off his score in round two, jumping up the leaderboard for Coe's third-highest finish at T25.
