Jr. Holland and his defense kept their third clean sheet of the season, allowing just two shots on target which Holland handled easily.

- The Kohawks were on the front foot from the opening whistle, forcing an early save as Trenton Kiesel saw a shot stopped in the 10th minute. The hosts scored the lone goal a few minutes later as Jaden Palmer linked up Manyanga, playing a neat pass to the goal scorer who slotted it past the keeper from just inside the area. Palmer almost had his own goal less than a minute later, forcing another quick save with a shot on target. Kiesel tested the keeper one more time in the first half, firing a shot on target in the 29th minute, again saved by the Cardinal stopper. The hosts pushed for another goal in the second half, registering three more shots but the score remained 1-0. SMU threatened in the final 20 minutes of action, forcing Holland into a save in the 70th minute.
