CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe men's soccer team hosted the Wartburg Knights on Tuesday night for their last home match of the season with the hopes of clinching a spot in the A-R-C tournament. The Kohawks needed a win to secure the spot against a Wartburg side that already has a spot in the dance. The first half saw a lot of offense from both sides very early on. Wartburg outshot the Kohawks nine to eight, and both teams made two saves. Coe broke the deadlock in the 12th minute with a
Jake Keebler goal, but the Knights wasted no time tying the game back up as they would equalize three minutes later. Wartburg finished the half with the advantage as they would score again to go into the break with the lead. Wartburg would go on to score another in the second half at the 66th minute mark. The Kohawks would battle back late, grabbing a second goal in the 88th minute thanks to a
Nolan Loftin headed corner, but time would run out on the Kohawks.

- The first half started with a flurry of shots from the Knights that couldn't find the net. Coe would respond to the early pressure with a goal in the 12th minute from Keebler and assists from Dylan Pagel and Will Shaw. Wartburg would level the match in the 15th minute and double their lead in the 23rd minute. Both keepers would make two saves in the first half on eight shots from Coe and nine from Wartburg. The second half would be just as energetic as the first, with both teams having shots in the first five minutes. The offensive pressure from the Knights would pay off as they added to their lead, making the score 3-1 in the 66th minute. Coe would pick up a yellow card in the 87th minute, but two minutes later would capitalize on a corner kick from James Napieralski and a header from Loftin. The Kohawks would run out of time and drop their final match of the season to Wartburg.
