CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Coe College fifth-year defensive end Alex Aitchison picked up his second career academic all-America selection on Tuesday, being named a member of the second team by College Sports Communicators. A Cascade native, Aitchison is the second player in program history to earn numerous academic all-America honors, joining Marcus Adkins who earned the honors in 1990 and 1993. Boasting a 3.89 GPA as a Kinesiology major, Alex was a first-team all-conference performer as he finished the 2024 season with 15.5 tackles for loss and 8.0 sacks. He is one of 13 repeat selections on the Academic All-America Division III Football teams and one of just three players from the American Rivers Conference.
