CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College men's swimming & diving team opened its 2025-26 season with a strong showing in a dual meet with Illinois College, falling 144-88 overall in the dual. The Kohawk men were led by four first-place finishes and numerous top three-finishes during the day.
Maxwell Deacon, Kamen Rangelov, Peyton Riggins and
Reilly Espinosa made headlines for the Kohawks to start the meet, taking first in the 200 Medley Relay with a winning mark of 1:41.64.
Kamen Rangelov went on to win a pair of individual events in the 50 Free and 100 Free, posting times of 21.91 and 47.93 to claim the victories.
Isaiah Lawshe was the final Kohawk to pick up a solo win on the afternoon, winning the 100 Breaststroke with a mark of 1:06.40.
