WAVERLY, Iowa – The Coe College men's golf team wrapped up its first tournament of the 2025 spring season Saturday, posting a second-round team total of 303 at Wartburg's Spring Invite. The Kohawk men placed fourth on the team leaderboard with a final score of 628, 20 strokes behind third-place and host Wartburg.
Sam Scully was Coe's top individual finisher, posting his second straight round in the 70s with a strong second-round 75 to place T12.
Lane Pierson was close behind Scully on the individual leaderboard and posted Coe's best 18-hole round of the tournament, shooting an even par 72 to finish T16.
Matt Lawton rounded out the top-30 finishes for the Kohawks, following a tough opening round with a second-round score of 75 to place T28.
Gavin Jennings (33rd, 81),
Cameron Daniell (T39, 79),
Karl Liedtke (T39, 83),
C. Reece Breitenbach (42nd),
Tyler Van Atta (T43, 86) and
Alec Lovell (T46, 79) completed the individual scores for Coe. Daniell and Lovell joined Scully, Pierson and Lawton with sub-80 rounds on Saturday, posting scores of 79 respectively.
