DECORAH, Iowa - The Coe College men's golf team completed play at the Luther Spring Classic Saturday afternoon, finishing seventh on the team leaderboard with a two-round score of 605. The team score is the fifth-lowest in program history and was led by senior Matt Lawton who placed in a tie for eighth place. Lawton posted rounds of 74 and 72, totaling five birdies including four in his second round. Sam Scully was just behind Lawton in a tie for 13th place, recording rounds of 75 and 73 while totaling seven birdies during the tournament. C. Reece Breitenbach rounded out Coe's top 30 finishes, placing T21 with a two-day total of 151. Lane Pierson (T44, 162), Gavin Jennings (T44, 162) and Karl Liedtke (T50, 168) concluded the individual finishes for the Kohawk men.
