WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – The Coe College men's golf team played the second 18 holes of the 2025 American Rivers Conference championships Sunday, completing the second round of action at Glen Oaks Country Club. Junior
Sam Scully bounced back from a tough opening round to shoot the second lowest score of the day, posting a four-over par 75 Sunday morning. Scully made three birdies during the round and recovered from an opening double on the first hole to play solid golf throughout the rest of the round.
C. Reece Breitenbach moved up the leaderboard into a tie for 19th place with 18 holes to play, shooting a second-round 80 that featured a pair of birdies, one on each nine.
Gavin Jennings had Coe's third lowest total of the second round, shooting an 81 as he is in a tie for 35th place.
Lane Pierson and
Matt Lawton rounded out Coe's individual scoring for the second round, posting scores of 89 respectively to sit in 41st and 43rd place ahead of tomorrow's final round. Coe's team score of 326 was just eight strokes shy of Dubuque's total on a blustery and chilly day that provided tough conditions.
