ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Coe College men's golf team opened the 2025 season Sunday at Augustana's Highland Championship, playing the first 18 at Highland Springs Municipal Golf Course. Senior Sam Scully turned in a program-record-tying 68 in the first round, carding six birdies during the day to sit in a tie for fourth place. Mitchell Katz (73, T22), Tyler Santi (73, T22) and Jackson Pipho (77, T61) rounded out the scoring for Coe's top squad which is in fifth place with a team score of 291, the third lowest in program history and the lowest since 2023. Coe's second team was led by a pair of 75s from Jack Blackwell and C. Reece Breitenbach, followed by Caden Weddingfeld (77, T61) and Robbie Allison (78, T73)
