MONMOUTH, Ill.– The Coe College men's golf team played the first 18 holes of the Fighting Scot Invite Saturday, with two teams representing the Kohawks in the 11-team field. The Kohawk "A" team posted a first-round total of 307, led by Breitenbach who fired a four-over 75. The junior made three birdies on his front nine and currently sits in a tie for 13th while
Sam Scully and
Tommy Kulesza matched one another with opening rounds of 77.
Tyler Santi rounded out Coe's "A" team scoring, posting a 78 with 10 pars on his card.
Brooks Hoffland led Coe's "B" team with an overall-best 74, making three birdies as the freshman is tied for 10th after 18 holes.
Mitchell Katz is next on the leaderboard with a 79 while
Caden Weddingfeld (81) and
Jack Blackwell (83) concluded the "B" team scoring.
