ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Coe College men's golf team finished off a strong opening tournament for the fall Monday, placing fifth as a team at the Augustana College Highland Championship. It was a record-setting weekend for the Kohawks, posting a new 36-hole school record total of 585 while senior
Sam Scully posted an individual 36-hole record of 141. Scully finished his tournament with a one-over par 73, carding three birdies en route to a tie for seventh finish. The top Kohawk team was led by
Tyler Santi on Monday as the freshman fired a one-under par 71, recording four birdies to finish tied for 14th.
Jackson Pipho (75, T52) and
Lane Pierson (75, T79) rounded out the scoring for day two, helping the Kohawks shoot 294 in round two.
Mitchell Katz finished the tournament with a second-round 78, placing T46. Coe's second team was led by
Jack Blackwell on day two, registering four birdies en route to an even par 72.
Tommy Kulesza posted a one-over 73 for the B team to finish T46 while
C. Reece Breitenbach (77, T52) and
Robbie Allison (77, T72) finished off the day two scoring.
Caden Weddingfeld completed the action for the Kohawks, ending the tournament in a tie for 79th, posting an 80 on day two.
