KANSASVILLE, Wisc. – The Coe College men's golf team was in action on Friday for the opening 18 holes of Benedictine University's Midwest Region Classic. Coe shot an opening round score of 312, tied for 25th but just 12 strokes back of the top seven.
Sam Scully (77, T76) and
Tyler Santi (77, T76) paced the Kohawk men on the opening day, with Scully carding three birdies and Santi registering two birdies and an eagle.
Brooks Hoffland (79, T106) and
C. Reece Breitenbach (79, T106) concluded the counted scores for the Kohawk men while
Mitchell Katz (82, T165) rounded out the team scoring.
Caden Weddingfeld (76, T66) and
Jackson Pipho (76, T66) competed as individuals and posted solid opening rounds while
Tommy Kulesza (80, T137) was just a few strokes behind as Coe's final participant.
