ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Coe College men's soccer team suffered a defeat in its final non-conference match of the 2025 season Tuesday evening, falling 1-0 at Augustana College. The Kohawks and Vikings traded early chances in the first half but both keepers were up to the test early on. The hosts scored the game's lone goal midway through the period, taking the lead on a set piece attempt that soared in from distance. The Kohawks looked for an equalizer in the remainder of the first half and the final 45 minutes but Augustana's back line did well to protect the lead and the clean sheet.

- William Shaw was called into action in the 15th minute for Coe, making a save before Sebastian Pena fired a shot on target just moments later. The Augustana goal came from a set piece just inside its own half on a ball that was lofted toward and eventually into the Kohawk net. Ian Kearney recorded Coe's other shot on goal early in the second half, forcing a save less than three minutes in. The visitors kept pressing, earning a few corner kicks and registering a handful of attempts but nothing tested the Augie keeper as the hosts hung on.
