CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Coe College junior pitcher
Jack Walsh was named a preseason all-American Thursday by
D3baseball.com, earning a spot on the third team. A native of Dubuque, Walsh put together a dominant sophomore campaign that netted a 6-1 record with one save while posting a 2.05 ERA. He totaled 72 strikeouts in 66.0 innings and walked just 11 batters while limiting opponents to just 5.73 hits per nine, ninth best in DIII. Through two seasons, Walsh has totaled 10 wins and a career ERA of 3.14 which ranks ninth all-time at Coe.
