WATERLOO, Iowa – The Coe College Women's Golf team played in the Waterloo Intercollegiate on Friday afternoon, shooting an opening round score of 340 before the tournament was shortened due to impending weather forecasts. The Kohawks finished third overall, 10 shots back of Simpson in first place, with Kye Daywitt leading the individual efforts as the senior placed third. Daywitt fired a score of eight-over par, 80, carding a birdie on the front nine while posting two-over 38 on the back. Paige Franzen and Lia Maxwell, and Abigail Mundsinger, who was competing as an individual, were next on the leaderboard, finishing T12 with 18-hole scores of 86. Sydney Stutzel and Madison Connolly matched each other with rounds of 88 to place T18 while Morgan Witte rounded out Coe's finishes for the tournament in a tie for 25th place.
