CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The Coe College men's track & field team continued its action at the American Rivers Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships, picking up numerous personal best performances across the first two days.
Talon Sargent led Friday's action, qualifying for the finals in the 100m and 200m, placing sixth and eighth, respectively in the prelims. The sophomore laid down a personal-best mark in the 100m with a time of 10.79, .20 behind the pace setter.
LaRon Donald joined Sargent with a qualifying effort in the 400m Hurdles, placing eighth with a time of 57.55.
Mozes Hoy, who started his competition in the decathlon on Thursday, finished in seventh place after delivering personal-best performances in the 100m, 110m Hurdles, 400m and Pole Vault. Coe's other team point came in the 4x800 relay as the team of
Konnor Bruening, Andrew Livaudais, Colin Chojnowski and
Robert Hansen finished in a time of 8:20.31 to place eighth.
