GAME FACTS
  • The Knights opened the scoring just moments after the starting whistle, scoring on a counter attacking move in the sixth minute. Kearney picked up the Kohawks just under 10 minutes later, beating the Kinght defense with a dashing run through the midfield before slotting away his first of three goals. He quickly put his team in front a few minutes later, scoring his second in the 23rd minute after Sam Sanchez found him on the right flank.
  • Coe called upon its reserves after taking the lead, introducing a handful of substitutions to help keep the pressure up. Jackel notched his first goal for the Kohawks in the 38th minute, finishing off a nice build up for the Kohawks. Palmer won the initial header and flicked it toward Sebastian Pena who found Jackel running in on goal. Coe made it four with just over a minute to play in the opening half, getting a goal from Palmer who corralled a loose ball outside the area before hammering a strike with his left foot past the goalie.
  • The Kohawks kept the pressure up in the second half, adding four more goals to their total before the final whistle. Juan Suarez scored the first goal of the second period, heading home Coe's fifth goal after Adam Ekstrom delivered a strong corner into the box. Ekstrom joined the scoring party for Coe's sixth, getting on the end of a set piece from Jonathan Williams. Kearney completed the hatrick five minutes later, slotting home his third after passes from Ekstrom and Williams. Cooper Peddicord got on the scoresheet just before the full-time whistle, heading home Coe's eighth and final goal after another beautiful delivery from a set piece.

Up next: Coe returns to the pitch on Sunday afternoon, hosting Benedictine at Clark Field at 3 PM.
