INDIANOLA, Iowa – Coe College men's golfer Matt Lawton led the Kohawk men in their final tournament of the fall season on Wednesday, placing in a tie for seventh at the 18-hole Simpson Fall Invite. The senior fired a seven-over-par 78, five strokes back of the individual medalist and two shots shy of second place. Lawton made a pair of birdies, both on the back nine, parlaying them into a second-nine score of 36. Sam Scully was second on the leaderboard for Coe, placing T15 with a score of 81. C. Reece Breitenbach and Lane Pierson rounded out the team scoring for the Kohawks, placing T22 and T29 with scores of 82 and 83.
