PELLA, Iowa – The Coe College men's soccer team fell 2-0 to the Central College Dutch on Wednesday afternoon in a midweek conference matchup. The Kohawks and Dutch played a scoreless opening half, totaling 13 shots in the 45 minutes but neither team could find the breakthrough. The hosts scored twice in the second half, capitalizing on 10 shot attempts with goals in the 53rd and 82nd minute. Coe had four shots in the second half and nine overall but Central's keeper made four saves, denying all of the Kohawk efforts on goal.

- Coe started the game on top, quickly registering a pair of shots in the opening three minutes. Ian Kearney forced the first stop 37 seconds in before Juan Suarez saw an attempt saved in the third minute. Central controlled the next phase of the game, generating four shots and a pair of corners before the 20-minute mark. The game leveled out before the break with each team creating chances but failing to take them. Coe had more early shots in the second half, getting attempts from Isaiah Jakel and Ethan Eliaquim Braga Farias that both missed the target. Central struck moments later, scoring the opening goal in the 53rd minute from a pair of assists. The Kohawks fought back and forced another stop in the 67th minute before Central scored the key goal to double its lead in the 82nd minute on a penalty.
