CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College men's soccer team fell to Loras College on Saturday evening in the team's final home match of 2024, falling 3-1 the Duhawks. Loras was on top early in the first half, scoring three times in 20 minutes to take a 3-0 lead in the 32nd minute. The Kohawks fought back and made it a game before the break as
Isaiah Jakel beat the keeper with a powerful header. Coe created a few more chances in the final 45 minutes but Loras managed to keep the two goal lead for the remainder on the contest.

- Loras scored the opening goal from a set piece, converting a free-kick opportunity from well outside the area. The Kohawks defense was undone again by another set piece later in the half as Loras made it 2-0 from a corner. Loras extended the lead to three in the 32nd minute, converting a penalty after earning the spot kick from a corner moments before. Coe made things interesting before the end of the opening half, slicing the deficit to two in the 42nd minute as Matthew Brand floated a pass to Jakel who headed past the keeper. The Kohawks pushed for more in the second half, getting shot attempts from Ian Kearney and Jakel that were both stopped. Loras controllled the final 20 minutes of play with strong defensive tactics, limiting Coe to two shots in the final moments.
