DECORAH, Iowa - The Coe College men's golf team opened play at the Luther Spring Classic on Saturday, playing the first 18 holes at Oneota Golf & Country Club. The Kohawks were led by a pair of sub-80 scores on Saturday with
Alec Brockmeyer and
Sam Scully recording 77 and 79 respectively. Brockmeyer carded a pair of birdies in his round and currently sits in a tie for 10th, six shots off the lead while Scully closed his round with a birdie on 18 to sit in a tie for 22nd.
C. Reece Breitenbach and
Gavin Jennings were just behind the leading Kohawks, posting a pair of opening-round 81s which is tied for 32nd after 18 holes.
