WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – The Coe College men's golf team opened the 2025 A-R-C championship Sunday afternoon at Glen Oaks Country Club, playing the initial 18 holes of the championship. Sophomore
C. Reece Breitenbach was Coe's top performer on the opening day, posting a first-round score of 79 to sit in a tie for 24th place after 18 holes.
Lane Pierson was Coe's next best finisher on day one, currently in 30th by himself after a round of 82.
Matt Lawton and
Gavin Jennings matched one another with rounds of 84 Sunday and sit in a tie for 35th while
Sam Scully is currently tied for 38th after an opening round of 86. The Kohawks, currently sitting in ninth place on the team leaderboard, will look to bounce back tomorrow during the second round of play which is scheduled to begin at 9 AM.
