GALESBURG, Ill. – The Coe College men's soccer team picked up a point on the road at Knox College on Wednesday evening, securing a 1-1 draw with the Prairie Fire. The teams were scoreless after the opening 45 minutes, each registering shots on target in the first half.
William Shaw made four saves in the first, keeping the hosts off the scoreboard.
Nolan Loftin scored Coe's lone goal early in the second half, converting a penalty to give the Kohawks a lead. Knox responded a few minutes later, scoring the leveler with over 40 minutes to play. Each team had chances to win it over the final phase of the game, but the points were shared as neither managed to find a go-ahead goal.

- Jonah Lasselle had two chances early in the first half, forcing a save in the 14th minute before missing the target in the 16th. Shaw made two key saves during the next phase of the game, keeping Knox off the board with stops in the 23rd and 27th minutes. Laselle again put the keeper to work in the 35th, forcing another save as Knox and Coe went into the break scoreless. Loftin scored the opener in the 47th minute, converting a penalty chance to give the Kohawks a 1-0 lead. Knox quickly responded with a goal in the 50th, tying the game with plenty of time to find a winner. The final 40 minutes of action were stop-and-start, with each team pushing for the go-ahead goal but both failing to convert.
