CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College men's soccer team suffered a defeat to the Augustana College Vikings on Tuesday evening, falling 3-0 at Clark Field. Augustana and Coe felt each other out in the early going of the match with neither team managing to create big chances. A defensive mistake from the Kohawks allowed the opening goal to occur as Augustana was awarded a penalty in the 38th minute which was converted. The Vikings added two more insurance goals in the seocnd half, tallying from a set piece in the 65th before putting the game away in the 87th.

- Augustana controlled possession early on but only forced William Shaw into one save in the first 30 minutes. Jonah Lasselle looked to create a chance for Coe in the 27th minute, picking up possession on the far wing and dribbling to the top of the box, but he saw his shot saved. Shaw was called into action again in the 34th minute, handling an effort from an angle that caused him little trouble. Augustana scored the opening goal from the penalty spot moments later, earning the spot kick after an attacker was pulled to the ground. Talon Sargent came close to leveling just before the end of the half as Coe worked a chance from a set piece, but a back heel attempt was cleared off the line by a Viking defender. The Vikings scored an insurance goal midway through the second half, using a quick back-to-front attack that was finished off with ease. Augustana added one more goal before the end of the match, making it 3-0 after a fortunate bounce found the back of the net.
