Allan C. Peremsky, Class of 1954, gained recognition on the football field as a truly superior interior lineman. During an era of Coe's history when there were several outstanding backfield men, Allan was a workhorse who opened the holes on offense and made sure there were no holes on defense. He earned varsity letters in football in his sophomore, junior, and senior years. The final two years of Allan's play were marked by an 11-0-1 conference record and one undisputed conference championship. Following the season of his senior year, his teammates voted him to be a team co-captain. The conference coaches gave him honorable mention recognition at his guard position. His leadership capacities were also recognized within the Clan of C, where he served as president of this distinguished group of men. In addition to superior performance in athletics, Allan Peremsky's years as a student were marked by leadership roles in Student Council as treasurer, ROTC as group executive, the Acorn as business manager, Delta Phi Epsilon as vice president, and senior class president. Allan was also one of eleven scholars in his senior class selected for Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities. Athletic prowess, student leadership, scholarship, and citizenship marked every year of Allan Peremsky's life at Coe College. It is indeed appropriate that he be inducted into the Coe College Athletic Hall of Fame.
