Amber Karkosh Bolen, the 2007 Bremner Award winner, was a member of the women's basketball and volleyball teams. Karkosh Bolen played three seasons on the basketball team, earning first-team all-conference in all three campaigns. Coe's single-season record holder in rebounds and steals, Amber helped turn around the Kohawk program which won 20 games in 2007-08 after just eight wins in the prior two seasons. Karkosh Bolen still ranks inside the top 10 all-time at Coe in scoring average, free throws made, rebounding average, steals, minutes average, scoring and rebounds. Amber also made an impact for the Kohawks on the volleyball court as their libero for two seasons, helping earn the team's first-ever NCAA Tournament bid. Karkosh Bolen holds the single-season record for digs with 679 and also the third-place mark with 618.
