Dougie Peters is as beloved and legendary as Kohawks come. He has been an integral member of the Coe community since he set foot on campus in the fall of 1977. He served as manager of the football, basketball and track teams all four years as a student, and shortly after graduation became the equipment manager. Thirty-eight years of incredibly dedicated service later, he is still going strong. Through his dedication to his work and the entire Coe community, Dougie serves as an inspiration to all Kohawks. To honor him for everything he has done for the college, a one-of-a-kind mural incorporating his iconic "Have a nice day!" phrase was installed inside Kohawk Arena in May of 2019.
