Beth Rohlena Boettcher, who helped the softball team to an NCAA regional appearance in 2005, was a four-year starter for head coach Bob Timmons and accumulated 218 total bases in her career which still ranks 15th in Coe's record books. During her freshman season, she started 42 games while hitting .306, collecting 33 hits, 17 RBIs, 14 runs scored. She started all 37 games her sophomore season, recording 27 hits, 18 RBIs, four doubles and four home runs. Again, she started all 39 games of her junior season, tallying 32 hits, 15 RBIs and four doubles. In her final season as a Kohawk, Beth posted 42 RBIs, good for ninth all-time while setting a school record with 22 sacrifice hits.

During her senior season, Beth was named to the NFCA All-American First-Team as well as earning a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-American First-Team.  Beth continues to be a part of the Coe record books, ranking first in sacrifice hits, eighth in walks, 15th in home runs and games started and 19th in hits.

Besides softball, Beth was a standout student-athlete in golf and basketball as well. She was Coe's top golfer at the 2002 IIAC Championship meet and the second-best golfer at the 2003 and 2004 meets. She achieved impressive individual records and helped set the 18-hole team record at the IIAC Championship meet in 2003 (now fifth) and the 36-, 54-, and 72-hole team records at the 2004 meet (now seventh, fourth and third).

On the basketball court, Beth was a starting forward her freshman and sophomore years. She shot 82% from the free-throw line and made 23 three-pointers in both seasons and was third on the team in minutes in each season. To top it all off, Beth was the only student-athlete in the Iowa Conference to earn all-academic honors three times during the 2002-2003 academic year when she competed in all three sports.
