Todd Henecke was a three-sport star at Coe, excelling in cross country, and both indoor and outdoor track. A four-time all-conference honoree, he held the school record in cross country until it was broken in 2007. Four runners have since bettered his 8K time of 25:41, but it was the school standard for 15 years. Of the top 40 8K times since 1990, Todd's is the only name to appear four times. His third-place finish in the 1992
conference meet was the highest by any Kohawk until last year. Also a 13-time track champion, odd still holds school records in the indoor 1,000-meter run, the outdoor distance medley relay and both indoor and outdoor 4 x 800-meter relay. His records in the indoor mile, 1,000 meter run, outdoor 1,500-meter run and 3,000-meter steeplechase all stood tor more than a decade. As a team captain in both cross country and track, he was a dynamic leader who was named Midwest Conference Track and Field Athlete of the Year in 1993. Todd's job as regional sales manager for Quintrex Data Systems has taken him all over the world working with telecommunication companies. He and his Kohawk wife, Jill, remain active in youth sports with their two sons. For his outstanding contributions to Kohawk athletics, I am honored to present Todd Henecke tor induction into the Coe College Athletic Hall of Fame.
