"Coming from a town of less than 1,000 people in Dunkerton, Iowa where I was born and raised, Coe was a really big change for me as a person, student, and athlete. Going to classes with more than 15 people in them, not knowing any of the people in the community, and playing with an entire team of elite players and against elite competition every single day were all new to me in my transition to Coe in 2005. Looking back on those changes in my life, it only made me a better person, and connected me with my wife and some of my best lifelong friends which I'm very thankful for."
